this came on the radio as i was driving home from the store and caused me a very high level of distress.

I was 8 (in 3rd or 4th grade) and I barely remember what it was like 10 years ago. I only remember that the twin towers and the Pentagon were the subjects of a terrorist attack.

It took me a few more years to understand what happened. Seeing pictures, watching documentaries, and hearing phone calls, everything made me more aware of what happened on that day. I always end up crying when I hear stories of people who have lost their loved ones. Stories of people who survived, but have to live and remember that dreadful day for the rest of their lives. Stories of soldiers who went into war because of this. Everything, everything just makes me cry.

My thoughts go out to everyone who was affected by 9/11.
