I haven’t checked my e-mail since yesterday, and I got flooded today with more than 20 messages. Most are just subscriptions to some random stuff you guys wouldn’t probably care about. But one was from my professor.

Subject: Your Midterm Exam

Message: ?

Uhm, I’m sorry. What about my midterm exam? Did I not submit it in class? Why are you sending me an e-mail with just a question mark?

I will get back to your e-mail first thing tomorrow morning with an obviously longer reply compared to what you sent me. This just irritates me. I don’t even know what I’m going to say because I don’t know what’s the question before the question mark!

I think this is the first Valentine’s that I don’t have anything planned. No cards or letters and whatnot. Haha. I’ve been too busy the past few weeks that I haven’t really given it much thought. And I have classes ‘til 9 in the evening tomorrow so… I don’t really know. I think Nikolo has some plans. Well, he had. I have no idea if we’re pushing through with it though, considering the weather. Ah well, we’re just going to wing it.

Having no plans feels weird.

So sorry about the sudden absence from the blogverse. I’ve been swamped with school work and I’m trying to spend as much time as possible with Nikolo since summer’s around the corner and I won’t be seeing him that much by then. *insert sad face*

Not to worry, I have two more glitter packs to release and I think I will finally get the time to work on that PSD to HTML tutorial. I finished coding the layout a few weeks back, but never really got around to starting with the tutorial. I’ll continue making resources for everyone, I just need a little more time to brainstorm and a break from school stuff.

I was invited to be a speaker for a seminar at DLSU this Wednesday and I have no idea how I’m going to pull this off. I’m not yet done reviewing all my notes, I still feel like I lack the knowledge to pull off my speaker duties. But nevertheless, I shall do what I can and give it my best, this opportunity doesn’t come very often.

"You crazy girl. That’s dangerous!"
— Nikolo. After I showed him my glow-in-the-dark nails.

Nikolo, you have absolutely no idea how hard it was to compose myself for this shot. Squealing like a little girl on the inside and itching to let it out, but I can’t afford to have a bad picture so standing still really wasn’t much of an option.
Thank you for this night. How I wish the sidewalk was made of grass so I could have lied down and looked at the stars with you. We’ll get to do that one day without us having to break our necks.
P.S. I had to edit my hair in this picture because you said “your hair’s okay.” It was all over the place, thank you very much.

On the 18th (US Timezone), I’m joining the largest online protest in history.

Ever since the bill was considered, I have been in great disapproval of it. I even wrote a mock documentary script focusing on the effects of SOPA to everyday lives as one of my school requirements. I followed closely how the bill was going through the US Government. 20th of December last year, the House Judiciary Committee cancelled the hearing for SOPA. They’re putting it up for vote again this week.

I may not live in the US, but I work for the Internet. Everything in my job requires the Internet. Well, maybe not everything. But I need it and if anything “seems suspicious to the government” or “submitted by a user and violates the SOPA” gets blocked, then what will be left?

Join me. Whether or not you live in the USA.

  • Nikolo: Okay, time for me to bring you home baby.
  • Me: NO
  • N: Why?
  • M: I don't want.
  • N: Time to go home.
  • M: NO
  • N: Why not?
  • M: I don't want. You'll need to drag my ass to the car
  • N: I can carry you.
  • M: I don't care. I'm not going home.

I’ve been playing around with Photoshop again. Not really making layouts or graphics, just messing with the filters and seeing what I can come up with.
Today, I made glitters. Well, sort of. I’m still working on making a pattern that’s just about right. If I get to perfect it, I’ll come up with another freebie! That is, if anyone would like me to make a style set out of it. Would anyone want a glitter style set for Photoshop?
I’ll start tagging some of my posts as “creative process 2012.” It would be nice to keep track of what I’ll be doing for this year. If you know of a good tutorial for making glitters, can you possibly link me to it via Disqus?

Happy New Year everyone! I hope it’s not too late to post my goals for this year! It just has been a week after 2012 has started after all.
I failed to do a year-ender post for 2011, and that just blows. I’ve been writing year-ender posts since 2005. Ah well, 2011 was definitely great! I remember writing about my goals for 2011 but I can’t seem to dig it up in my archives.
I do have some goals set for myself this year. It’s my way of telling myself to go a certain direction and not be too spontaneous with all my decisions.
Travel. On my list this year: Iloilo, Boracay, and Singapore. Maybe Bacolod, if I get enough funds. I’m hoping I can drag Nikolo’s ass with me to Boracay this summer, I’m sure it’s going to be loads of fun! *nudge*
Manage my time well. This means I have to stop playing Tetris Battle on Facebook and other games on the iPad. Mom got me two planners this year, but I think I’m getting another one. Or just use iCal? I need to learn to wake up early again this year so I can do more things. Waking up in the afternoon hasn’t done me good.
Get back in track with Photography. I lost track for a little bit last year, and went off to the web design world. Not saying it didn’t do me good, I got a job because of that! But I need to do something that will push me to be more creative, I think this calls for a Project 52.
Be more sociable. That entails learning how to drive so I can go to more places with my friends. Transpo is always a problem. I’m very good at commuting, but sometimes, you really just want the privacy of being in a car and blasting Monster Radio on the stereo.
End the year with a kick-ass portfolio. This means more shoots, more web design, and hopefully getting back to traditional art.
Get back to being a good student. Lost myself last year. Didn’t really care about my grades so much. Oops. It’s time to start doing advanced reading again and give my 101% in school! It’s also my last year and there’s just OJT left so I really have to keep my head in the game.
